Welcome Letter from Head Teacher

Welcome to the website of Whatfield CEVCP School. We are a Church of England School which aims for learning experiences to be stimulating and awe inspiring with Christian Values at their Heart.  Our curriculum is designed with this at the heart of it. We serve our local community and beyond, committed to helping all pupils achieve their best whatever their starting points.  We are a small school where all staff know every pupil and encourage them to thrive. We believe that our small school is 'like a small mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants' (Mark 4:30 NIV)

The school is very well supported by governors and parents as well as the local community. We believe the stronger these partnerships are the more your children can thrive. We have a highly active Friends of Whatfield School (FOWs). We are federated with Bildeston Primary School and have strong links with other local primary schools and Hadleigh High School.

The school is committed to safeguarding, if you have any concerns about a child in school please contact the school's Designated Safeguarding lead, Mrs Julia Shaw or an Alternative Designated Safeguarding lead, Mrs Charlotte Clarke.  The safeguarding governor is Mrs Jessica Searle.

We know how important it is to view the school that you send your child too. If you would like to visit the school, myself or Mrs Clarke would be delighted to meet with you, please contact Mrs Bailey in the school office (contact details can be found here).

I look forward to welcoming you and your child(ren) into school.

Mrs Julia Shaw B.Ed (Hons) CANTAB
