Mr A Hitchin (Oak Class Teacher)

Hello! My name is Adam Hitchin and I qualified to teach in 2014, but have been teaching drama since I was 18 for various drama schools.

I have just moved to Hadleigh, from Essex, and am loving the Suffolk life!  Prior to teaching I used to fit kitchens and bathrooms in my own family business which means I love Design & Technology lessons!  My specialism is Computing, as this is my passion but I have taken on the role of Math lead, which I am excited to get my teeth into.

In my previous school I taught Years 3 and 5, and stayed there for 7 years.  Whatfield is the second school I have taught in and is much smaller than my last!  As a child, I went to a Church of England primary school, so teaching at Whatfield is bringing back lots of fond memories.

I live with my wife Sarah, who also teaches Drama in the school (with her business, Act First) and my 2 children Emilia and Stanley who also attend Whatfield Primary School.  I love spending time with my family, walking with my dog Holly, gaming (when I have the time!) and DIY.
