At Whatfield, our Science curriculum is designed to inspire and develop pupils’ knowledge and understanding of our world alongside the skills associated with Science as a process of enquiry, encouraging them to become the scientists of the future. It aims to develop the natural curiosity of the child, providing them with the skills to question what they see before them and develop methods to critically evaluate evidence they collect. They learn to apply their knowledge through conducting carefully designed scientific enquiries, building arguments and explaining concepts.
